How To Cook Your Grass Fed Beef ?

1. Use Lower Temperatures and Shorter Cooking Times:

  • Why? Grass-fed and grass-finished beef is leaner and more nutrient-dense than grain-fed beef. To ensure a juicy, tender result, cook it at lower temperatures and for shorter times.

2. Cooking Guidelines:

  • Temperature: Cook at a lower heat to avoid overcooking. Grass-fed beef cooks faster than grain-fed beef.
  • Time: Reduce cooking times by about 30% compared to grain-fed beef. This helps preserve its natural tenderness and flavor.

By adjusting your cooking method, you’ll enjoy a delicious and healthy meal that highlights the unique qualities of grass-fed/grass-finished beef.

Recipes & Tips

Burgers

Ingredients:

- 1.5 lbs Lazy JM Ranch Beef

- 1 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce

- 1 tbsp Mr. Yoshida's Sauce

- 1/8 tsp Liquid Smoke

Instructions:

1. Prepare the Patties: Gently mix the beef with Worcestershire Sauce, Mr. Yoshida's Sauce, and Liquid Smoke. Form into patties, and dimple the center of each patty on both sides.

2. Cook the Patties:

   - Heat a grill or pan over medium-high heat.

   - Place the patties on the grill/pan. Sear until the dimple fills with juices. Turn once using tongs, and season the side facing up with salt and pepper.

   - Cook to an internal temperature of 160ºF for well-done burgers.

3. Rest and Serve: Remove from heat and let the patties rest for 5 minutes before serving. Enjoy a truly juicy burger!
