About Lazy JM Ranch
Our Story
The Lazy JM Ranch was established in 1972 by John’s grandparents, Charles and Amelia, along with his parents, Jack and Lee Mobbs. John and I are dedicated to regenerative agriculture, ensuring our grass-fed, grass-finished beef is nurtured by nature. We don't use antibiotics, herbicides, pesticides, or grain on the ranch. All of our animals are born here, except for our bull. We only have happy cows.
Our Commitment to Regenerative Agriculture
John and Betty Mobbs, the third generation at Lazy JM Ranch, introduced regenerative agriculture practices 11 years ago. Today, four generations work together, fully committed to leaving behind conventional ranching and farming methods. Our animals are free from antibiotics, herbicides, pesticides, and grains, and are always treated humanely. We draw inspiration from pioneers like Gabe Brown, Jim Gerrish, Joel Salatin, Nicole Masters, and Ray Archuleta.

Our grass-fed, grass-finished beef is unlike anything you’ll find at the grocery store. It’s hormone-free, antibiotic-free, grain-free, and born and raised right here on the Lazy JM Ranch. From our clean pasture to your plate—live clean, eat clean. We are Idaho Beef Quality Assurance certified, and we only have happy cows.
